Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Game Set for Aug. 22 in Rochelle

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Police Department and Rochelle Fire Department will face off in the annual Battle of the Badges charity softball game on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Junior League Field, 101 Eighth Ave. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. as Team Blue and Team Red compete to raise money for Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center. Organizers invite the community to attend and support local police officers and firefighters while helping benefit the nonprofit that serves children and families.
