Rockford Man Arrested After Vehicle Enters Creek at White Pines State Park

OREGON – A 27-year-old Rockford man was arrested Saturday morning after his vehicle entered a creek at White Pines State Park, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the park around 10:45 a.m. and arrested Nicholas K. Kennaugh on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to OSF Saint Katharine’s Hospital in Dixon for treatment. He also was cited for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released with a notice to appear.
