(Santa Clara, CA) — The San Francisco 49ers still have a chance at the NFC’s top-seed after defeating the Chicago Bears 42-38 on Sunday Night Football. Brock Purdy passed for 303 yards, three touchdowns and an interception to go along with two scores on the ground in San Fran’s sixth straight victory.
Christian McCaffrey rushed for 140 yards and a TD while Jauan Jennings, Kyle Juszczyk and Jake Tonges each found the end zone through the air. The Niners are now 12-and-4 and will play the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18 with a first-round bye on the line.
Chicago QB Caleb Williams threw for 330 yards and two TDs in the losing effort. Luther Burden the Third had eight catches for 138 yards and a score as the NFC North champion Bears fell to 11-and-5.
Chicago plays Detroit at Soldier Field next Sunday.
