ROCHELLE - The 10th Annual 5k Run/Walk to benefit HOPE of Ogle County will be held tomorrow at 1 PM, stepping off at the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle. The Cinco K is an annual fundraiser, helping make a difference for victims of domestic abuse and celebrate Cinco de Mayo. HOPE provides shelter services, counseling, court advocacy, and more. All services are confidential and free of charge. Director of HOPE of Ogle County Ruth Carter said they have plenty of grants that help fund their program, but that this is a big boost to their budget.
“It’s a chance for folks to come out and celebrate our services,” she said, “and support the services we offer to survivors of domestic abuse.”
