Pretrial Release Denied For Rockford Man Accused of Multiple Murders

ROCKFORD - The 22-year-old Rockford man accused of first-degree murder in the deaths of four individuals will remain in custody.  Winnebago County State’s Attorney J. Hanley made the announcement yesterday. Christian Ivan Soto is accused of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and home invasion for the incidents that occurred on March 27th. WIFR TV reports that Soto had an outburst that caused the courtroom to be cleared, at one time shouting “You are all serpents: everyone here is a serpent.”
